Scuba Diving in Roatan
Mayan Divers opens its doors to the public every day. Our boat departs in the mornings for double tank dives and in the afternoons for a single dive. PADI courses and programs, dive packages and day trips to the neighbour islands are available through us.
Note: All our rental gear is kept in top condition.
Our boats were built in Honduras, at a shipyard in La Ceiba city.
"Island Princess"
The Island Princess is 28ft long by 9ft wide and is powered by twin Suzuki 225HP four stroke engines. We have life vests for every passenger and crew member on board. The boat also has VHF radio, emergency oxygen kit, First Aid kit, GPS with all the dive sites from Roatan, depth finder and a great stereo! We limit this boat to 10 divers, ensuring a comfortable ride for all.
"Bay Princess"
The Bay Princess is the newest addition to our fleet. With 30ft in length and 11ft wide this vessel offers plenty of space and a comfortable ride even in unusual rough seas. It is also powered by twin Suzuki 225 HP four stroke engines. The boat has a complete range of navigation and safety equipment on board, VhF radio, GPS, and also a great stereo!
We limit this boat to 15 divers, ensuring a comfortable ride for all.
All our dive packages are based on boat dives. We recommend you to reserve and inquire for availability with some time ahead.
We appreciate snorkelers as well! We stock snorkel gear for rent or purchase for our snorkeling customers. You can snorkel from the beach and we also offer snorkel boat trips in the afternoon.
Come see us at the dive center and we’ll be glad to give you an area orientation, which will make your experience safer and more enjoyable.
Safety and care for the environment are very important to us. We encourage all divers, student divers or snorkelers to help us preserve what nature has given us the chance to enjoy.
Roatan’s Marine Park office ensures that all water related activities are performed in a safe way for the environment as well. This office is in charge of the installation of mooring lines on every dive site on the island, this way the damage to the reef due to anchorage is avoided. They also patrol the covered area to make sure all these rules are being followed.
At Mayan Divers, we support the work of the Marine Park, so we request that all our divers wear a Marine Park bracelet worth 10U$ that will be good for one year! With this you do your part in conserving marine life.
Thank you!
